RIMS Annual Conference 2019 - Ljubljana

Only one week to go until the start of the RIMS Annual Conference, "Crossing the Interface to Explore New Possibilities", taking place from June 20-22, 2019! 
An updated programme can be found on the RIMS website.


Please be aware there are still a few places left! Registration should be done online via the registration tool available on the website. RIMS members can register at a reduced rate!

Onsite registration for the Nurse Training Programme, Teaching Courses, SIG meetings and the PhD session or for the full Annual Conference is also possible, please come see us at the Welcome & Hospitality desk.

We are happy to announce that the RIMS Annual Conference received 14 European CME credits (ECMEC) from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). Please find below the breakdown of ECMEC's per day:

  • 20.06.2019     4 credits
  • 21.06.2019     5 credits
  • 22.06.2019     5 credits

The EACCME awards ECMEC's on the basis on 1 ECMEC for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC's per day. Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form.

Fellowship Exchange Programme

The deadline for the application for the fellowship exchange programme is coming closer! Fill in the Application Form and send it back to the RIMS Secretariat before July 1st 2019. Are you already registered for our Annual Conference? This is a great opportunity to network for the fellowship exchange programme.

RIMS Grant Programme

Please be informed the deadline for application for the RIMS Grant Programme is open!
Download the submission form on our website and return this by mail to Dr. Giampaolo Brichetto, RIMS RiGra Officer before December 1, 2019. In the present call, one project has been granted.

SIG in-between meetings during the Annual Conference 2019

Our 6 SIG's are organising a meeting on Thursday June, 20th 2019 between 16:00 and 19:00 at the Annual Conference in Ljubljana. Please find an updated programme of the SIG's on our Annual Conference website
for the SIG meetings is still possible on the website. These courses can be added to your Conference registration.

Upcoming SIG in-between meetings 2019

SIG Psychology & Neuropsychology - June, Hamburg

The upcoming meeting in Hamburg will be detachted from the 'SIG Umbrella'. The SIG sexual review group is starting an updated editorial about psych, treatment of sex, dysfunction in MS for the review we published in Plosone last year.
Christoph was invited from IJMSC to submit artciles for a special edition.

We are looking for more active members in our SIG, specific international psychological/neuropsychological projects could be started (validations, reviews ...)
We are also looking for ideas for the future: what are the needs and wishes of the members?

A second SIG in-between meeting will take place in winter 2019/2020.

SIG Mobility - 28 & 29 October, Tel Aviv

The SIG Mobility in-between meeting will take place in Tel Aviv (Israel) with Alon Kalron serving as local host. The meeting will take place from October 28 until October 29, 2019 in the Tel Aviv University and Sheba Medical Center. There will be a short (sponsored) lecture on October 27 in the afternoon for the particpants who arrive early.

SIG Communication & Swallowing - Autumn, Stockholm

The SIG Communication & Swallowing in-between meeting will take place in autumn 2019 in Stockholm with Fredrik Sand serving as local host. Further information concerning the exact topic and date will follow at a later stage.
SIG Occupation, 8 & 9 November, Genova

The next in-between meeting for this SIG will take place in Genova, Italy on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 November 2019. Call for abstracts for free paper session is now open. If you would like to present, please send an email with a short abstract to SIG Occupation chair Inger Grethe Loyning.
