SIG Bladder, Bowel & Sexuality in-between meeting

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to announce the next SIG Bladder, Bowel and Sexual Dysfunction in-between meeting will be hosted in London at the Glasgow Caledonian University LONDON CAMPUS on Friday 26th October 2018, with Doreen McClurg as the local organiser. The theme of this 1-day meeting will be “Innovations in the treatment of the neurogenic bladder and bowel”. This meeting aims to bring together leading researchers and clinicians to discuss the contemporary and innovative scientific and clinical developments related to rehabilitation of the bladder and bowel in MS.

Broadly, the programme for the meeting includes keynote speakers and workshops. Confirmed keynote speakers include: Dr Jalesh Panicker a Consultant Neurologist in Uro-Neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London; Dr Nikki CotterillPost Doctoral Nurse Fellow, University of west of England with a special interest in the neurogenic bladder and outcome measures and Professor Doreen McClurg, a Physiotherapist with experience in undertaking research in bladder and bowel dysfunction in people with MS. The workshops will be hosted by faculty members and will focus on novel interventions as well as the way forward for the SIG group

The meeting is kindly sponsored by Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (RIMS) therefore RIMS members do not pay any registration fees. One night’s free accommodation (Thursday or Friday only) will be offered to RIMS members at the nearby IBIS Hotel Whitechapel, members are asked to please consider sharing accommodation) in addition to lunch and refreshments. Non-RIMS members are welcome to attend the meeting (registration £50 for attendance). Non-RIMS members are welcome to stay at the IBIS Hotel or any of the numerous hotels near the location.. RIMS members who wish to benefit from the one night’s free accommodation and Non-RIMS members who would like the preferential room rate must reserve accommodation with conference organisers (Doreen.mcclurg@gcu.ac.uk) by 28th September 2018. Registration for both RIMS and non-RIMS members will be open until 5th October 2018

12.15 Workshops – Case studies on Neurogenic bowel
