Upcoming RIMS Workshop, Milan

The first workshop of the RIMS 'going local tour', which took place in Copenhagen, was a success! We brought together 58 delegates from 12 countries.

The RIMS board is pleased to announce that the next workshop will be held in Milan at the Don Gnocchi Foundation on Friday, December 13, 2019. Keep an eye on the website for more information!

RIMS Annual Conference 2019, Ljubljana

On behalf of RIMS, we thank the delegates and faculty for making our RIMS Annual Conference, "Crossing the Interface to Explore New Possibilities" a success. The Annual Conference took place in the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (Gospodarsko Raztavisce) from June 20-22.

We are proud to have been able to bring 255 delegates from 25 countries, giving all of us the opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals, researchers and patient representatives sharing knowledge and experiences on topics related to rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis.

We look forward to welcoming you all again at the next edition of the Annual RIMS Conference, scheduled to take place in Spring 2020 in Belgium.

RIMS President

New president
We would like to thank prof. Vincent De Groot for his achievements and efforts he made as RIMS president, and we would like to welcome prof. Daphne Kos (BE) who from now on will take over his place as the next RIMS president!

New vice- president
Our current executive board member Giampaolo Brichetto (IT) has been elected in Ljubljana to be the next vice-president as from June 22.

News from our SIG's

SIG Communication & Swallowing

The location of our next in-between meeting has changed. Leena Maria Heikkola will host us in Turku, Finland. Further information concerning the exact topic and date will follow soon.

SIG Patient Autonomy

The next SIG in-between meeting will be held during ECTRIMS 2019. The exact date and time will be announced soon.

SIG Occupation

SIG Occupation would like to thank all presenters and all participants for an inspiring meeting during the Annual RIMS Conference. The report from the meeting can be found here.

SIG Occupation in-between meeting will be on Friday & Saturday 8-9 November. The theme of the meeting is 'Transforming knowledge on technology into relevance for clinical practice'. Please find attached the preliminary program. Call for abstracts for free communication is also open. Send an email with your abstract to ingergrethe.loyning@mssenteret.no

ECTRIMS - Fellowship Programme

ECTRIMS fellowship competition 2020 has started. Online application is now open!
ECTRIMS offers a comprehensive range of fellowship programmes for different target groups.

  • ECTRIMS postdoctoral research fellowship exchange programme
  • ECTRIMS multiple sclerosis clinical training fellowship programme
  • ECTRIMS multiple sclerosis nurse training fellowship programmes

In addition, the European MAGNIMS network (Magnetic Resonance Imaging in MS) and ECTRIMS jointly support research fellowships for young European researchers in the application of magnetic resonance studies to MS. Details of the programme and the fellowship proposal can be found on the MAGNIMS fellowship website.
